Hi guys. I'm slowly updating this over time, so be patient please. c:
I'm 21 now, female, and if it isn't obvious I'm on the autism spectrum. I also have a myriad of other "issues", an alphabet soup if you will. (Social anxiety, sensory processing disorder, and a speech impediment to name a few.).
I'm heavily interested in art and the medical field too. I'm in school to become an Occupational therapist, so I can help other special needs kids live as good a life as possible with the right help.
I started this blog to spread awareness and give parents an inside look to what it feels like to be an adult with #autism. It's never easy, but it has its ups and downs that's for sure.
I ask that you guys don't "pity" me, please! I find it awkward and hard to reply to. I don't need pity. I just want understanding and acceptance. ♥ I've felt sorry for myself enough in life as is, I don't want others feeling sorry for me too. please. c:
Hi Sila, I'm also an autistic adult - and I'm 22. I really enjoy reading your blog and am happy I stumbled across it. You've been added to my google reader. I really like the list of 10 things, too. Thanks for writing, I can't wait to read more. :)
ReplyDeleteHiyas! I just saw your blog myself actually, and I absolutely love how you explained the three glances and depths of who you are when people meet you. I'm very much the same way and I see a lot of myself in that post especially.
DeleteI'll try to keep up the writing, it's hard when I have so much to say but so many other things to do during the day. Take care. :3
Just found you over at Autism Saddy....nice to meet you! I look forward to reading more.
